HILLSBORO — Funeral services for Lee Hershberger, 60, who died after a heart attack in his home at Veedersburg, were conducted at 2 p. m. Monday at the Sterling Christian Church with Rev. D. W. Gorbett of Evansville officiating. Pallbearers were John Verhey, Clark Hershberger, Harold Linker, Melvin Morehouse, Bering Swain and Ernest Rogers. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery at Hillsboro.  --typed by Walt W

Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Sterling Christian Church for Lee Hershberger, 60, who died Saturday of a heart Attack at his home in Veedersburg. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery at Hillsboro. Mr. Hershberger was a farmer in the Campbell Chapel community most of his life. For 14 years he was employed at the C&EI Railroad Shops in Danville. He was a World War I veteran, a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Low 12 Club of Wallace and the Campobell's Chapel Church. He was born in Veedersburg Feb 129 1898, the son of Elmer and Bella Snyder Hershberger. he was married to Pearl Keller, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Bella (Della) Mae Nine of Hillsboro, Anna Lee Shoaf of Lansing, Il., and Eileen Miller of Danville, Ill.; two sons, Kenneth of Indianapolis, and Bud of Veedersburg, Rural Route; two sisters, Mrs. Alex Wagner of North Dakota and Mrs. Faye Wolf of Los Angeles, and two brothers, Joe of San Francisco and Abe of Freeport.  --(thanks to Betty D for this one).
